If you thought Mark Pritchard MP’s historic sixth win in the Wrekin meant you’d be getting a break from elections, think again!
We are contesting two parish council by-elections on 25th July, both caused by the resignation of sitting councillors.
Ercall |
Hadley Castle |
Conservative councillor, Miles Hosken, recently stood down from Wellington Town Council for personal reasons leaving a vacancy in the Ercall ward. Miles was the longest-serving councillor in Telford & Wrekin, having served his community since the 1970s. Phil Morris-Jones MBE (PhilJo) is the Conservative candidate in this by-election. Phil is a former councillor and currently Chairman of the Orbit, the community-owned cinema and arts centre in Wellington. |
Labour councillor, Malcom Smith, stood down from Hadley & Leegomery Parish Council due to illness. Our Deputy Chairman, Stuart Parr, is the Conservative candidate in this by-election. Stuart lost his seat on Hadley & Leegomery Parish Council in last year’s bruising local elections and is hoping to return to it this month.
