Cllr Tim Nelson's ward fund has been put to use in Broomfield play area.

The play equipment was useable but needed some love. New swing cradles and repainted frames and the "soft pour" play surface has been treated to remove the moss. More works are yet to come on the surfaces (the wet weather doesn't help) and it is planned to refurbish the goal posts.

Longer term Cllr Nelson would like to enhance the "social value" of the play area, to make it more park like. Maybe a path, and some trees. To be worked upon!
