Cllr Tim Nelson is pleased to announce that Newport's iconic sheep have been restored to their sculptural beauty.

Tim helped Newport in Bloom work with Telford and Wrekin council to get Sheep island returned to its much loved state.

He contacted Tim Roper of Steel-Art, who is a local expert in steel sculpture. They met on site, agreed with Telford & Wrekin Council what might be done, who the other contractors might be (Balfour Beatty and MSN), and the best timescale. It has taken a while but all thanks to the local Telford & Wrekin officer, who has not let up.

The magnificent Ram is back, and very splendid he looks too with his new silver fleece!
