On Thursday 2nd May voters in The Humbers go to the polls to elect a new parish councillor after the councillor Labour co-opted onto the parish council last year failed to turn up to any meetings.
Residents are all bringing up the same issue: Labour's plan to surround The Humbers with 3,000 houses.
There are just two candidates in this election and only Phil is opposing Labour's plan. It's not just covering acres of valuable farmland with houses and industrial buildings, it's the lack of services and the crazy plan to close Station Road and divert traffic down Richards Road and the A518 that means residents will have to drive 3 miles just to get to the petrol station 350yds away. Labour are telling residents that there are no plans to close Station Road but anyone who has looked at the local plan knows that's not true.
